HLAC - Lifelong Wellness Application Paper
1. What did you learn about “lifelong wellness” from taking this activity class?
a. In this class, I learned just that. I learned that wellness is a lifelong commitment. I learned that this includes not just being active, but eating right as well. It becomes an entire lifestyle choice. This tennis class specifically taught me the importance of isolating the necessary parts of the body for play. By mastering this isolation tool, you will have more energy due to the lack moving body parts.
2. How would you apply this information to your life?
a. I have always considered myself to be a some-what active person. With that being said, I am not as young as I use to be. I have learned and have applied the importance of daily exercise and eating right. Doing these things I feel I have more energy throughout the day, am able to be more focused and don’t feel as drowsy throughout the day.
3. What is your intention to continue to exercise in your life and why?
a. Some of the things I plan to continue throughout my life is to continue to play sports, like basketball and tennis a few times a week. Other activities I intend to perform are hiking and biking during warmer seasons. The reasons I enjoy exercising are simple: I feel great physically and mentally when I am active. I have more energy and feel unstoppable.
4. General ideas for improving this course?
a. This course was great. I wouldn’t change a thing.
